This year Gap Year for Grown Ups (www.inspiredbreaks.co.uk) is pleased to introduce a choice of three new programmes in Thailand, tailored to meet the interests and needs of the individual.

The Gold Option features the sheer variety of things to do in Thailand and includes a unique opportunity to work, learn and meditate in a temple alongside Bhuddist monks, as well as a week's camping and trekking in the Phu Toey National Park. The Wild Option highlights the integral part elephants play in the daily lives of traditional Thai communities, and involves a two week stay in a traditional Khmer village tribe to work at an elephant camp, looking after and learning to train these amazing animals. The Work Option offers participants a three week volunteer placement in a local village to assist on community development projects, giving a fascinating insight into village life, as well as making a difference.

All the programmes run for 4 or 8 weeks and include an introductory week in central Thailand, with lessons in Thai language, culture, cooking and massage, and a beach week on Koh Samet where the emphasis is on free time to explore both the neighbouring islands, and the beautiful underwater world of the Koh Samet Marine National Park.

4 weeks costs £899 and 8 weeks costs £1449 (excluding flights and travel insurance). There are 20 departure dates from now until May 2007.
