Mozambique Whale Shark ConservationTrip code: MOWSVolunteers will be asked to monitor the condition of coral and the indicator fish species for research that will greatly benefit the marine area as a whole. In the breeding season of the local turtle species, volunteers may also be involved in nest activity monitoring.

Voluntary WorkThe project aims to propose recommendations for the improvement of conservation by monitoring the whale shark numbers in the area as well as their behaviours and to possibly also monitor manta rays and loggerhead turtle activity, especially when nesting. The project also looks into the condition of coral reefs. As a volunteer you will be involved in helping to conserve the marine biodiversity of the area through diving, beach walking, boat surveys and swims along the coastline around Tofo.
